Final Turn In: Thread Between Us
Asset Zoo
The Cafe
Perforce
Summary
Phew what a a project to lead. Definitely very fun with all its unique challenges as someone who has never lead a team nor worked on an animatic before, this was definitely a learning experience! All the artists did super well with this project and very much excited for the final showing.
There are definitely some things I could work on better as someone that had to lead a group of artists. Dealing tasks more efficiently rather than taking on more tasks than I need to, as well as relying on my department's sub lead a lot more in the beginning of the project. All in all with three leads I think we did pretty well with how everything turned out!

Sprint #5
In-Engine
Perforce
RecapFor this sprint I worked on updating the yarn basket, added little aesthetic paintings, and updated the side counter to actually have wood grain. Really happy with how this cafe is looking and very proud of the group for how far we've come from the blockout!

Alchemist's Brew Part 4
The Whole Thang
Wireframes
Final Thoughts:
Definitely learned a few things about the stylized painting technique with this project. I did end up learning a bit about 3D Coat while doing this project but regret only using it minimally since the pipeline I chose ended up highly reliant on getting base textures in Substance Painter, then comfortability set in and I ended up hand-painting everything else in there.
I think I will need to go back to the Potion to fix up the actual liquid texture since it definitely looks a little more bland compared to the cauldron. That and the slime I thought I could texture it in-engine but it didn't come out how I wanted. Once I have more time, I will troubleshoot this in the future (soon).
