I will say the best part about this part of the project was the handpainting parts and learning the different techniques for adding depth and spamming the hell out of ambient occlusion and gradients. Some things I wasn't able to get to, like VFX, will have to be saved until the end of the project. Additionally, I should also be able to work more in 3D Coat as I was only able to handpaint the lock since the other two meshes simply refused to cooperate in 3DC and crash the program immediately.
Surely this next half of the diorama, finishing the branches, pedestal, cauldron, and scroll, won't bring as many issues this next go around *gulp*.

This past sprint I worked on turning the proxy models into their midpoly forms and adding blockout colors to the scene. All the environment artists collabed to make the cafe scene more lived in and nice. Very happy with how it's looking so far!
